Finrite vs Tabs
Finrite builds quote-to-cash automation for HubSpot and Stripe, so we have a horse in this race. We've kept this comparison honest — verify details with each vendor, and chat with us if your situation is unusual.
Tabs is one of a wave of end-to-end, newer billing platforms that are fantastic options for managing revenue operations as a new sales-led business. Some drawbacks worth considering — it requires a time-consuming migration and can be expensive with long commitments. If you plan to maintain or launch a self-serve channel, which is very common with early teams, you'll need to split your billing stack over Tabs and Stripe, which can be a nightmare for reporting. Tabs also does not offer any quoting functionality, so you'll need a quoting module (like Finrite!) to work with it.
When does Tabs make sense?
If you're starting fresh as a purely sales-led business with no existing billing footprint, Tabs gives you invoicing, revenue schedules and collections in one place, designed for sales-led motions from day one.
Where teams hit limits
- Migration. Moving existing subscriptions onto Tabs is time-consuming and complex, and commitments can be long and expensive.
- Split billing stacks. If you run (or plan) a self-serve channel, your data ends up split between Tabs and Stripe — a nightmare for reporting.
- No quoting. Tabs doesn't offer quoting functionality, so reps still need a quoting module in front of it.
How Finrite compares
Finrite delivers CRM-connected quoting and automated contract-to-billing flows while you stay on Stripe Billing — no migration, no split stack, no long contract. And because Tabs has no quoting, Finrite also works as the quoting module alongside it; support for syncing directly into Tabs is on our roadmap.
| Tabs | Finrite | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Greenfield, purely sales-led billing | Automating quote → contract → Stripe Billing on your existing stack |
| Watch out for | Migration, cost, split self-serve stack, no quoting | Works with certain existing stacks (e.g. Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce; Metronome and Tabs support anticipated); onboarding for quoting & AI parsing |
| Migration needed | Yes | None — installs on top of Stripe Billing and HubSpot |
Which should you choose?
Choose Tabs if you're greenfield, fully sales-led, and ready to commit to a new billing platform. Choose Finrite if you're on Stripe and want the workflow benefits without a migration — or pair Finrite's quoting with Tabs.
